To be completely honest, I’ve never considered this question and am not well informed about this topic. Because my household watches very little television, I never found television as something that becomes addicting. I’m sure that there are many Canadian citizens who are addicted to television; even more the video games you play that are connected to your TV. The addiction to television brings up a variety of problems; one in particular that has been greatly increasing over the years is obesity.
In my opinion, I don’t understand how television can become such an addiction. How can someone sit in front of a television for more than a couple hours a day? Don’t they realize that they’re health can become at risk? I also find that the majority of the Canadian population doesn’t realize how important it is to exorcise. That problem isn’t a question of not having enough time or any other excuse along the lines, but it’s a question of being exceptionally lazy.
Overall, I find television a huge waste of time.

What are your favourite names? Would you give those names to your children?
My favourite male names are:
Kellin
Tanner
Dallas
My favourite female names are:
Skylar
Lydia
I find these names rather interesting because of the way they sound and how they aren't common names and I would greatly consider naming my children these names.

If you could remove any required class from your day which one would it be?
This year I'm only taking one required class which is French, and I wouldn't remove it because it's obvious that having a bilingual diploma is very important, especially to me. A class that I would remove from my daily schedule would be art class. I find my art class incredibly useless due to the fact that we only do reproductions by other artist work if not a useless project that’s teaching me less to nothing. I also don’t intend to pursue anything in art so I’m basically only taking this class because I didn’t have any other options.

How have you changed since september?
Since September I don't see a big change in myself. There is definitely no change in my personality, but I guess I have made some minor ones. I've noticed that in September, I guess I was still in the ''summer mode'' so I wasn't giving all that much effort in school but I quickly changed that when I came to the realization that it's my last year and that it's time to smarten up. Another change I have noticed is that I'm much more organized than I was in September, even October. Other then these few changes, I don't think I've changed anymore.

I hate it when...
I hate it when there are certain things in life that you try your hardest to forget yet you always manage to find something that will remind you of it. I always seem to rediscover things that I wish to never see again or the times you pass somebody that reminds you of someone you don't want to think about. I find that things are always harder to get over or to forget when there are so many things that remind you of it.
I hate it when I know that it's my fault things are they way they are today.
I hate it when I know that there was something I could have done to help the situation I tend to put myself in.I hate it when I think about the way things could have been.

What do you like to do on a rainy or winter day?
On a rainy or snowy day I usually stay indoors. There's always a lot to do on those types of days because when the weather is nice out, I always find myself out and about. When I stay home I usually find myself sleeping in, staying in my pyjamas all day and simply just lounge around the house. I take the time to watch movies, have lunch or dinner with my family things along those lines. These are all things that I don't usually have time to do because there's always a family member missing in my house busy with either work or other kinds of things that distract them from being at home. What I do different on snowy days then I do on rainy days is that when there's enough snow outside, I try to get out and do some snow boarding or skiing and take as much advantage as the snow that I can!

Write about your favourite author or book.
My favourite book is When all you have is hope by Frank Odea. The reason why I enjoyed this book so much is because first of all it's a true story and its about a man who had lost everything from his early addiction to alcohol at the age of 14. He was kicked out of his house and had nothing to live off of. Frank ended up in the streets and it was very interesting to read about because it was the streets of Toronto that he was living on. I was able to picture him at almost every location he ended up in and it was interesting watching him go from having absolutly nothing to becoming a million and the co-founder of Second Cup.

What do you like or dislike about this school?
What I like about this school is how everything is new and there's a lot of space. When we were at the Cardinal Carter location I feel as though everyone was very congested mostly because we only had two and a half hallways rather than two stories. Also, at Carter all of the desk's, chair's and most text books were used. Now that we're in our new school everything is clean and because we're less students than all the English students at Carter the school stays much cleaner.
What I dislike about this school is that there are grade seven's and eight's. Not to sound rude but the majority of the younger students are still very immature which is obviously understandable but because of that I don't feel like they should be combined in the same school as us. I hate the fact that they run into me while their running around in the halls and the fact that they don't respect the fact that we are older students and some of them yell inappropriate things to us which is just a constant irritation.

Would you want to be an actor or actress? why or why not?
No, I would want to be an actress for various reasons. First of all, I have no interest in acting whatsoever; I would hate to have to travel for months at a time to film movies because I'd feel as though I'm missing out on everything that would be going on back at home. Second of all, I wouldn't want to be famous and constantly be in the public eye. Being an actor you would be living a completely different lifestyle where almost everything you do would go public. Take for example when you’re at the grocery store loading your food onto the belt and you have magazines in front of your face of how Lindsay Lohan is anorexic, along with Mary-Kate Olsen. What is the point of me knowing this information, because in my eye's I could care less what Lindsay or Mary-Kate look like. Not only does this information do nothing for me, but what good is it for the person who is on the front cover? Most of the time there are random embarrassing facts that are always thrown out for the public to see so that the paparazzi could get paid. There are obviously good factors about being an actress such as making millions of dollars for making films but I don't think there's a point on having all that money due to the fact that money doesn't buy you happiness. As you can tell, most people involved in acting become drug abusers and I'd rather not be involved in that sort of lifestyle.

Should a fast food company take over the running of the cafeteria?
No, in my opinion I do not believe that a fast food company should take over the running of the cafeteria for various reasons. First of all, fast food companies cook most of their food in a massive amount of grease. With that factor, for those who eat the cafeteria food would gain more weight. Overall, more kids will eat unhealthy food and students in high school with become obese.

The day I graduate is...
The day I graduate I will be so overwhelmed with joy. The thought of continuing my life as a university or college student is very exciting. There will be a lot of change at that point but I am ready for a new change! Knowing that all my friends will be going off to different schools is rather upsetting but I know that while I will be at my new school, living on my own, being independent I will be making new friends. I can't wait for this journey to begin!

Describe someone you love.
Today I will be describing my platonic love towards the members of the Atwood Club.
The members of this club include Diana Di Poce and Michelle Bouthiette. Diana is a very creative individual sometimes even to creative, to the point that she seems to make things up in her head. An example of that is how she thinks she’s Asian, and with that thought in her head she is destined to adopt an Asian baby. If you personally know Diana you will be well aware of the fact that she has an unconditional love for dogs. If you don’t personally know Diana, you will still know about her love towards dogs due to the fact she looks 100% like one. She comes to school with wet hair, she rolls around on her carpet so her school sweater vest can accumulate a massive amount of dog hair on it, and sometimes she even wears necklaces that look similar to a dog collar. In other words it is very clear that Diana is an Asian dog.
Michelle, I don’t actually like you... I really only added you into this blog so you don’t feel left out. But seriously, I am just far to lazy to continue this blog due to an agonizing headache J

How can a teenager balance work, play and study?
It's very important to balance your time but it's even more important to balance your time properly. It's not an easy thing to do, especially since work, school and play are all equally important things in your life. Sure, the word 'play' may not seem as important as the rest, but in my opinion it may be even more important out of the three.
Making time for yourself is important in so many ways. Say you went to school everyday, from 8am until 2pm then came home for a quick break and went straight to work for a 6 or 7 hour shift, your body and mind would be completely exhausted. Of course your studies are greatly important, as is making money, especially now that we're of age to drive and we need to pay for things such as gas and many other little things.
So instead of balancing your time for only school and studies, take a few hours a day, or even letting a few shifts a week go to do something you enjoy. It's not as hard as it seems to do. If you take at least an hour a day to do something such as going to the gym, you will be guaranteed to feel better and you will probably even get more done due to the fact you will feel so much better then before.
Taking the time to play, is the one time of day that you are able to do something you want to. Whether it's playing a sport or simply watching TV, either way you will be releasing your stress and keeping yourself healthy!

Coming back to school this year was... because...
Coming back to school this year was not something I was looking forward to. I was so relaxed during my summer vacation that I didn't feel like I would even be ready to start a new school year. I admit that by the end of summer I was starting to get bored and going back to school would most definitely be time consuming. Once I got back to school it really wasn't half as bad as I presumed it would be. I love being around my friends and I know that going to school is much more productive then sitting around at home, going to the beach, and all the other activities I did during my summer vacation. I am officially ready to begin a new school year!

How will the world be different in 20 years from now?
In my perspective, the world will be much different then today's for many reasons. Here are some changes:
1) Computer's will take over many jobs
2) Gas prices will be at least 5$
3) The world will be knee deep of old people
4) I will once again the a red head
5) Michelle may rule the world
6) Diana will have her own magazine - DARE
7) Architects will build over buildings
8) Most of the population will be needing glasses due to the fact technologies will have taken over
9) California will most likely be flooded
10) There will be less countries because more countries will merge together to survive
11) A lot more diseases
12) Species will die because they won't be able to adapt to global warming changes.
In other words, the world will SUCK.

Do you read the newspaper on a regular basis? Why or why not?
No, I do not read the newspaper on a regular basis because I don't usually have time to sit and read the newspaper. In the morning when my dad brings it home I'm usually busy getting ready for school and preparing my lunch. After school I usually have to read books for school and when I'm not doing that I'm reading books of my own interest. Late at night before I go to sleep I always watch the news that my mom records at 6o'clock so I guess I make up for the lack of newspaper I don't read.

Describe one day of your summer.
Before summer came, I wasn't expecting it to be as good as it turned out to be. There were many amazing days but the best day was the weekend before going back to school which was the weekend of my birthday. On Saturday 31st a group of my friends and I went down to the Woodbine beaches downtown Toronto where we then met up with more friends. Those friends brought their friends, and then those friends brought their friends and before you knew there was over at least 50 people. We walked around the beaches trying to find a place that we were aloud to have a bonfire, luckily when we did find a spot it just so happened to have rocks surrounding it. There were people everywhere, sitting on rocks, dipping their feet in the water and others finding sticks to roast marsh mellows. After everyone was settled I guess my friends had planned out to all sing along to ''Happy Birthday'' which echoed across the beach. Other than the drama that happened later that evening, it was definitely the best night of my summer, and one of the most memorable nights of my life.

The most important day of your life was when...
The most important day of my life has not yet occurred. I feel as though the most important day of my life will when I accomplish the goals that I have set for myself. Those goals consist of going to school to study audio engineering. If I'm able to pursuit a career in that domain I think that would be the most important day of my life.

What do you hope to achieve in your senior year?
In my eyes, senior year has always been a big deal. Not only is it the last year of high school but it will more or less determine what school I will be able to attend once I graduate. This year I intend to give it my all due to the fact that I want to be able to attend the school I've been hoping to. For those who have had past classes with me, you obviously know that I have missed an abnormal amount of class. But this year I am ready to start from scratch, to attend school every day and to give in every assignment on time. To help me accomplish this I won't procrastinate and leave most assignments to the last minute and organise my time. I am confident that I will be able to achieve the goals that I have set for myself for my senior year!
